Employment Background

My background is in IT and electronics.

I have self-taught myself electronics (and other subjects) from the age of 4.

The school I attended had a LAN, much earlier than other schools, and long before the web, so I learnt network management early. I also rewrote other people's software, and was effectively a helpdesk. In my first work placement, I learned 'C' in two days.

In the recession of the late 90's, I built a modular parallel processor from scratch.

Career Profile

Highly computer literate, with much experience in digital electronics, Looking for menial or tech work, to build up capital for projects.

I pride myself on accuracy and thoroughness in my work. Walking everywhere keeps me fit and healthy. I do volunteer work and organising at some exhibitions.

Fully conversant with all common software and machines, inc. Ms Office® & Photoshop, and particularly skilled in Text Processing, such a POV, HTML, CSS, javascript, Perl, php, !Zap, Notepad++. Some use of Python, Ruby, MySQL, NoSQL. Extensive use of JSON and RESTful APIs.

Worked with hunch Inc. (NYC) on a casual basis in 2010, debugging some Python scripts and producing a mobile version of their site using php and their API. The hunch team were the original flickr in a previous worklife.

Media experience. Through pursuing business and community interest publicity, I have found myself on TV a few times, and sometimes in newspapers and magazines. Journalists like information pre-digested for them, and after that it's basically an informative friendly chat.

Awareness of business structures and legal issues/pitfalls/workarounds.
